Grant awarded to Junior Achievement for Business
Challenge Racine, Wis., March 22,
2007. The CBR Foundation for Financial Education granted
$5,000 to Racine’s Junior Achievement for their 6th annual
Business Challenge on March 22, 2007. The event is for high school
students who compete against each other, in teams of 2 students
and 1 businessperson, to market and manufacture a fictional product.
Top students walk away with $1,500 in scholarships and a complete
scholarship to attend the Wisconsin State Manufacturing & Commerce
Business World 2007. The two top teams from Racine are invited
to compete in the state competition in April. # # # CBR Foundation for Financial Education is located in Racine, Wisconsin. A non-profit organization, its mission is to provide financial education to the community. CBR offers services to area residents by way of publications, distribution of educational materials and grants to support educational initiatives in the field of personal finance. It also serves as a clearinghouse for government publications, Internet sites and commercial publications that pertain to financial education for all age groups. [back to Press Releases]
