Grant awarded to Housing Resources, Inc.

Racine, Wis., April 23, 2007. CBR Foundation awarded a grant of $10,000 on April 23, 2007 to Housing Resources of Racine. The grant will be used to help continue to expand their outreach to low-to-moderate income families to purchase their first home. In addition to first-time homebuyer counseling, they proved post-purchase counseling, foreclosure prevention, financial fitness training and reverse-equity mortgage counseling.

CBR Foundation for Financial Education is located in Racine, Wisconsin. A non-profit organization, its mission is to provide financial education to the community. CBR offers services to area residents by way of publications, distribution of educational materials and grants to support educational initiatives in the field of personal finance. It also serves as a clearinghouse for government publications, Internet sites and commercial publications that pertain to financial education for all age groups.
